As a lot of people know l wanna lose a lot of weight for hockey and gain tons of muscle at the same time.so l guess I will eat a lot of protein, and about 1,800 calories a day. Breakfast:1 egg white some fruit, simple oatmeal glass of non fat milk Lunch:Turkey sandwhich on wheat Snack: Yogurt with nuts or fruit Dinner: Meat, veggies Snack: A little bit more of some protein from dinner OR 1 scoop whey protein shake with a banana and non fat milk Suggestions?

No, u do not have it right.do not listen to random people on here. It is physiologically impossible to put on muscle mass & lose weight at the same time. Putting on muscle mass requires a caloric excess, & reducing body fat requires a caloric deficit. It is impossible to do both simultaneously. Bodybuilders will often have ''bulking'' & ''cutting'' stages to achieve low body fat & maximum muscle mass.
During bulking stages there is a caloric excess with certain macronutrient ratios & many bodybuilders will avoid cardio, only concentrating on putting on muscle mass, at the expense of fat.
During cutting stages bodybuilders reduce this excess fat. There is a caloric deficit & cardio is incorporated, but bodybuilders will still weightlift. You can reduce body fat & get stronger at the same time, but u can not put on muscle mass while reducing body fat.
Choose what u want to do first & set up the appropriate diet. For a diet to reduce body fat, ur macronutrient (carbohydrates, fats, protein) ratio should be 40% protein, 30% carbohydrates, & 30% fats (no trans fat though). When putting on muscle mass, ur diet should be approximately 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates, & 20% fats.
