Would I lose weight if I ate this

Ok, I am a really poor college student (lol), and l need to lose weight. l can only afford cheap stuff that is also easy to store in my tiny door room. Would l lose some weight ifl ate 1200 calories worth of this food: light canned tuna, egg whites, peanutbutter, homemade low-sugar oatmeal, assorted veggies, apples, whole grain bread, skim milk?

Is this diet ok? l know that you are suppose to eat a wide variety of foods..butthese foods are pretty much my only option unless l wanna eat the fried junk in the cafeteria. If l literally only ate those foods l listed for say..a month, would l be missing alot of nutrients in my diet?

In my opinion this is an awesome diet but every once in a while eat some vegetables to. Good luck.

l think u should try just eating the vegies fruit and oatmeal and not soo much the fish maybe some egg but not 2 much the bread should be okay and skim milk is good sooo yehr just som suggestions

well it seems okay. put once in awhile change it up to get all the nutrients that you need.like eat different kinds of meat and fish. as well carb

Sounds like a good mix of food that would definitely give u some good weight loss results! If you're worried about not getting the nutrients u need, just take a vitamin supplement. Unlike what another person above said, DO NOT cut out the protein! You need fish & eggs for muscle development. The more muscle u have the more ur body will burn. Also, do not cut out the bread either!! Whole grains r good for u & u need those carbohydrates for energy.

There is tons of cheap healthy foods. Try getting foods in bulk in the grocery store such as oats, brown rice, & flax seed. Fruit & veggies r of course good. Peanut butter despite its bad reputation is healthy but make sure its ingredients r only peanuts (and salt) & make sure the whole grain bread is 100% whole grain, meaning no white flour in the ingredients (or not the first ingredient) & that it does not have sugar, high fructose corn syrup, & dough conditioners. Milk even low fat milk is not good for u because it is homogenized & has a lot of pesticides & it could have antibiotics. Try to get organic, cream top milk, or raw is the best. Dairy alternatives like rice milk is good as well.

l would say it is good variety, u have fruits, veggies, whole grains, & healthy fats. It is fine. Just do not eat, say, only one type of fruit, go for a broad range of colors. Same goes with veggies & types of grains.

It sounds like a weight-loss plan to me. However, you have to take into consideration what type of metabolism you have and how much exercise you get. 1200 calories is not a lot. You might jeopardize your immune system if you 'deprive' yourself of enough nutrients.
